Job summary

ABB is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide hands-on support to the plant's operations. You will design processes, tooling, capital projects, and work instructions while ensuring safety and compliance.

The role emphasizes project management, capital approvals, and cross-functional collaboration on site in Columbus, MS. Ideal candidates bring a engineering degree with several years of related experience, knowledge of lean methods, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, CAD/SolidWorks, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering and 2+ years of experience preferred.
Experience with lean process improvements and manufacturing projects.
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs and computer controls, CAD software; SolidWorks and Microsoft Office.
Certification in Lean Six Sigma or PMP is a plus.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement engineering projects including equipment, tooling, and process improvements.
Review project design for safety, standards, and specifications; manage CAPR and capital projects.
Staff and oversee phases such as technical studies, design, specs, and testing.
Analyze layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
