Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to set operations direction for vehicle architectures and drive manufacturability from inception, collaborating with AI&T, design, and operations to plan builds and validate manufacturing approaches.

You will develop production readiness artifacts, create build strategies and tooling concepts, mentor engineers, and help manage risks across programs with leadership interaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field.
• Experience leading manufacturing initiatives across vehicle architectures.
• Proven ability to influence design requirements and drive manufacturability.
• Familiarity with CAD systems and PLM tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as manufacturing focal for subsystems and AI&T activities, establishing manufacturing plans and presenting solutions to leadership.
• Plan and support builds of engineering demonstrators, providing hands-on support during fabrication and testing to validate approaches.
• Drive DFX principles, conduct producibility assessments, and develop roadmaps to close manufacturing gaps.
• Develop production readiness artifacts, build strategies, and tooling designs.
• Partner with program teams to identify risks and influence design decisions.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of integrity and continuous improvement.
