Job summary

Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II for BE-4 final assembly. You will lead design-for-manufacturability and assembly, translate requirements into robust processes, and collaborate across design, quality, supply chain, and production to optimize throughput and reliability.

Qualifications

• B.S. in mechanical, manufacturing, electrical, or aerospace engineering from an accredited university.
• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering role is required.
• 1+ year of experience creating English work instructions.
• Ability to work second shift and flexibility to move shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and design for test (DFT).
• Translate engineering requirements into robust manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with design engineering, QA, supply chain, and production teams to accelerate production.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation: work instructions, process diagrams, tool designs, inspection plans.
• Evaluate new manufacturing technologies and methods (machining, welding, brazing, additive manufacturing).
• Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for non-conformances.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001 quality standards and safety standards.
