Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to own hardware from design release through build, test, and delivery for vehicle sub‑systems. You will develop build flows and test procedures to enable repeatable, high‑quality execution across first builds and maturing programs.

Collaborating across design, supply chain, production and test teams, you’ll drive continuous improvement, tooling strategies, ERP/MES workflows, and production documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or a related technical field with 2+ years hands-on hardware experience in manufacturing or integration.
• Skilled at investigating hardware issues and driving corrective actions.
• Familiar with assembly and test procedures including tolerance stack-up analysis and leak checks.
• Comfortable interfacing with design, manufacturing, supply chain and test teams.

Responsibilities

• Own hardware from design release through build, test, and delivery for vehicle sub-systems.
• Develop and release detailed build flows, work instructions, and test procedures.
• Support first article builds focusing on manufacturability, repeatability, and quality.
• Provide hands-on floor support during build and test and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate across design, supply chain, production, and test for part readiness and tooling availability.
• Contribute to long-term manufacturing systems including tooling strategies and ERP/MES workflows.
