Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach is hiring for a hands-on hardware engineer on the Stage Manufacturing team. You will own hardware from design release through build, test, and delivery for vehicle sub-systems, ensuring execution readiness and quality across high-volume assemblies.

This second-shift role (3pm PT start) offers close collaboration with design, manufacturing, supply chain, and test teams to develop scalable processes, tooling strategies, and production documentation that accelerate

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field; 1+ years hands-on hardware build/test experience.
Experience with assembly and test procedures, tolerance analysis, and leak checks.
Proficient with GD&T and CAD tools; comfortable interfacing across design, manufacturing, supply chain, and test teams.

Responsibilities

Own hardware from design release through build, test, and delivery for vehicle sub-systems.
Manage fluids, electrical, and structural sub-assemblies.
Develop and release detailed build flows, work instructions, and test procedures for repeatable, high-quality execution.
Support first article builds focusing on manufacturability and scalability.
Provide hands-on floor support during build and test and drive continuous improvement.
Coordinate with design, supply chain, production, and test teams to ensure readiness and smooth handoffs.
Contribute to manufacturing systems development, including tooling strategies and production documentation standards.
