Job summary

Relativity Space, Inc. in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II, Mechanical Assembly to own hardware from design release through build, test, and delivery for vehicle sub-systems.

You will develop detailed build flows, work instructions, and test procedures to enable repeatable, high-quality execution, and you will support first article builds while coordinating with design, supply chain, production and test teams to ensure readiness and timely handoffs.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• Investigating hardware issues and driving root cause analysis.
• Familiar with assembly and test procedures including tolerance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own hardware from design release through build, test, and delivery for vehicle sub-systems.
• Develop and release detailed build flows, work instructions, and test procedures for repeatable, high-quality execution.
• Support first article builds focusing on manufacturability, repeatability, and scalable processes.
• Provide hands-on floor support during build and test and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with design, supply chain, production, and test to ensure part readiness and schedule alignment.
• Contribute to long-term manufacturing systems and infrastructure development.
