Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering professional to support non-conformity management, process improvement and tool specifications at the Mobile facility.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve NCs and drive LEAN initiatives. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in engineering and 3+ years in aerospace, with strong communication skills and knowledge of SAP and Airbus processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Engineering Technology or equivalent years of experience.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Aerospace, preferably in an Aerospace Final Assembly Line.
• Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with internal customers and work in an international team.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of Airbus mechanical processes and methods; SAP/R3 (PP/PM) experience.
• Knowledge of aircraft structure installation and health, safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support identifying Non-Conformities on the shopfloor and assess the need to create NCs and NC Notifications.
• Assist in filling NC forms with relevant information and support solving NCs.
• Follow up NC process and push for resolution; identify production issues and escalate as needed.
• Assist with Work Improvement Proposals (WIP) and LEAN initiatives; support process validation and failure analysis.
• Aid in writing specifications for jigs and tools, and assist in tool calibration and parachevement processes.
• Collaborate with Multifunctional Team (MFT) and ensure attested parachevement templates are returned to requester.
• Support EH&S rule transparency on the shopfloor and ensure EH&S standards are applied.
