Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking an Industrial Engineer to optimize aerospace manufacturing processes, drive safety, quality, and efficiency, and support cross‑functional teams across Operations, Engineering, and Quality. You will analyze workflows, implement process improvements, and participate in DOE and qualification activities.

Ideal candidates have experience with lean methods, AS9100, and ERP systems, plus strong collaboration and problem-solving skills in a regulated aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or technical operations within a production environment.
• Experience applying industrial engineering principles to improve process capability and workflow.
• Knowledge of AS9100 quality management system requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma and standard work methodologies.
• Experience with ERP or manufacturing systems, particularly Epicor.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, improve, and sustain manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and performance.
• Provide hands-on technical support to Operations and Engineering teams for manufacturing issues.
• Plan and document engineering trials, DOE studies, and process validations.
• Support process qualification, validation, and manufacturing readiness activities.
• Lead or support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Develop manufacturing layouts, material flow, and workstation design.
• Collaborate across functions to ensure compliance with AS9100 and Nadcap requirements.
