Job summary

Silfex Inc., a Lam Research Company, in Ohio is seeking a manufacturing engineer to create, evaluate, and optimize silicon-related processes such as machining, lapping, polishing, and clean room operations. You will apply Lean, DMAIC, 8D and GD&T knowledge to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure quality, while coordinating equipment qualification and data reporting with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents including specifications and drawings.
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Familiarity with problem solving tools such as DMAIC and 8D; ability to apply them.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of the Quality Management System and apply procedures.
• Apply lean manufacturing concepts and problem-solving tools (DMAIC, 8D) to improve efficiency.
• Evaluate and modify manufacturing methods to reduce cost and waste; coordinate equipment qualification.
• Coordinate installation and qualification of manufacturing equipment; support MRB decisions.
