Job summary

Silfex Inc., A Lam Research Company in Ohio seeks a Manufacturing Process Engineer to create, evaluate, and optimize silicon-related manufacturing processes including machining, lapping, polishing, and clean room steps.

You will apply Lean, DMAIC, 8D, and GD&T knowledge to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure quality, coordinating with equipment suppliers and cross-functional teams across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with 2–3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong reading of complex documents including drawings.
• GD&T understanding and problem solving using DOE/8D or DMAIC.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of the Quality Management System and apply procedures.
• Apply lean concepts and problem solving tools to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Coordinate installation and qualification of manufacturing equipment.
• Prepare reports by collecting and analyzing trends from manufacturing data.
