Job summary
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support Tank Ammunition assembly activities at the Rocket Center, WV location just outside Cumberland, MD. This on-site role requires compliance with safety, quality, and Lean manufacturing standards while coordinating with operations and engineering teams.
The candidate will review prints, train operators, and participate in tooling and process improvements, including CAD drafting and GD&T, with a path to responsive, data-driven decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor/Master in STEM with manufacturing emphasis and related experience.
- Must be able to obtain U.S. government security clearance (citizenship required).
- Experience with GD&T, CAD, and Lean manufacturing practices.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all department and plant safety rules.
- Review part prints and specs to ensure hardware and test articles meet requirements.
- Instruct machine operators on manufacturing equipment and gaging.
- Monitor manufacturing process using SPC data and identify improvements.
- Interface with plant personnel to support production and maintenance.
