Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer 3/4 for the Rocket Center, WV location near Cumberland, MD. The role develops and maintains manufacturing processes, writes detailed work instructions, and supports productivity improvements on-site with no remote option.

Qualifications include a mechanical/aerospace engineering degree, level-specific experience, and the ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance. Strong collaboration and hands-on problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related STEM field.
• 5 years with Bachelor's or 3 years with a Master's for Level 3; 8 years with Bachelor's or 6 years with a Master's for Level 4.
• Experience interpreting drawings and specifications and working in a manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to perform hands-on work and manage time and resources to meet schedule and cost goals.
• Eligible to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with design engineering on design and manufacturability issues.
• Evaluates discrepant hardware.
• Researches and evaluates commercially available tools and equipment to support manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoots existing processes to improve safety, quality, cost, and efficiency.
