Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer 3/4 at the Allegany Ballistics Laboratory site in Rocket Center, WV, just outside Cumberland, MD. The role encompasses developing and overseeing manufacturing processes, creating detailed work instructions, and supporting production with corrective actions and data analysis.

You will collaborate with design engineering on manufacturability, evaluate hardware, and apply continuous improvement methods; this is an on-site role with potential

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related STEM.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and ability to obtain a U.S. Government clearance.
• Hands-on work willingness with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience interpreting drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with design engineering on design and manufacturability issues.
• Evaluate discrepant hardware.
• Research and evaluate commercially available tools and equipment to support manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoot existing processes to improve safety, quality, cost, and efficiency.
• Incorporate engineering changes on work in process.
