Job summary

RTX in Goleta, California is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and optimize manufacturing plans and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and security requirements.

The role entails generating BOMs, reviewing hardware for compliance, and troubleshooting to support production while driving continuous improvements. A Master of Science in a STEM field is required by start date, and eligibility for a DoD clearance is essential.

Qualifications

• MS degree in STEM field required by start date.
• Experience in manufacturing processes and assembly of mechanical/electronic hardware.
• Ability to use Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook for daily communications and documentation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Write manufacturing plans and instructions per engineering specs, quality, safety, and security requirements.
• Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Review hardware for compliance; generate work/rework/repair documentation; troubleshoot to support production.
• Determine root causes of defects and drive process improvements; report results to CAB.
