Job summary

RTX Corporation in Goleta, California is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. You will write manufacturing plans, generate BOMs, review tooling, and ensure compliance with engineering specs, safety, and security requirements to support production.

This role requires a BS in a STEM field by start date, hands-on experience in manufacturing or assembly of mechanical/electronic components, and the ability to obtain a U.S. government clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM field by start date.
• Experience in manufacturing processes or assembly of mechanical and electronic components.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office for documenting processes.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
• Experience through on‑the‑job work, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Write manufacturing plans and instructions aligned with engineering specs and safety requirements.
• Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Participate in tooling reviews and provide feedback on tool designs.
• Review hardware for compliance; create work/rework/repair docs; troubleshoot production activities.
• Identify root causes of defects and drive process improvements; present findings at CAB.
• Troubleshoot to support production activities and project delivery.
