Job summary

RTX Goleta is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. You will write manufacturing plans and instructions, generate Bills of Materials, and participate in tooling reviews to support production from day one.

You will review hardware for compliance, investigate defects, and drive continuous improvement through updates to work instructions, processes, and equipment. This onsite Goleta role requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in STEM field
• Experience in manufacturing processes and/or assembly of mechanical/electronic assemblies
• Ability to obtain and maintain US government clearance; U.S. citizenship required
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite for daily communications and documentation of manufacturing processes

Responsibilities

• Write manufacturing plans and instructions in accordance with engineering specs, quality requirements, safety needs, and security requirements.
• Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Participate in tooling reviews and provide evaluation of tool designs.
• Review hardware for compliance; generate work/rework/repair documentation; troubleshoot to support production activities.
• Determine causes of defects and improve processes; present results to CAB.
• Troubleshoot to support production activities and project delivery.
