Job summary

RTX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for an onsite role in Goleta, CA. You will write manufacturing plans, generate BOMs, and support production through tooling reviews, defect analysis, and process improvements.

A BS in a STEM field and experience in manufacturing are required, along with the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. Knowledge of ERP/MRP/MES systems (SAP/CMES) and proficiency with Microsoft Office are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials, Mechanical Engineering or related STEM earned by start date.
• Experience in manufacturing processes and/or assembly of mechanical and electronic assemblies.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite for daily communications, tracking, and documentation of manufacturing processes.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US Government issued clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Write manufacturing plans and instructions according to engineering specs, quality, safety and security requirements.
• Generate Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Participate in tooling reviews and evaluate tool designs.
• Review hardware for compliance; create work/rework/repair docs; troubleshoot to support production.
• Identify root causes of defects and improve processes; present results to peers and CAB.
