Job summary

Hadrian is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to ensure robust production support and scale manufacturing processes. You will integrate new customer requirements with factory capabilities, support transitions to high-volume production, and drive adoption of automated assets and software enhancements.

You will work with software teams to optimize processes, adapt shop-floor structures, and implement efficient workflows to meet evolving customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related STEM field; 5 years of engineering experience in production.
• In lieu of a degree, 5–6+ years in a high-intensity production environment may be considered.
• Familiarity with machining and tight tolerances in aerospace manufacturing.
• GD&T knowledge required.
• Collaborative work with software engineering to enhance production capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure strict adherence to paperwork and customer requirements for quality and compliance.
• Onboard new customers, ensuring the factory’s capabilities meet their expectations.
• Assist in work prioritization during peak production to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Own problem solving and disposition of production defects; drive root cause to improve yield and reduce rework.
• Lead the transition from low-rate to high-volume manufacturing; implement process and infrastructure changes.
• Onboard new automated production assets; collaborate with software engineering to improve manufacturing software products.
• Adapt shop floor structure to accommodate high-volume needs, e.g., wash stations and insert-installation workstations.
• Create production processes in unstructured areas of our operational system.
