Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a Boeing subsidiary, is seeking an engineer to coordinate manufacturing and tooling plans across engineering, manufacturing, and supply teams. The role requires applying process engineering principles to establish requirements for assembly, tooling simulations, and configurations.

The successful candidate will have a ABET-accredited engineering degree, 5+ years of experience, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.

Qualifications

• ABET‑accredited engineering degree required.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with engineering, manufacturing, and supply teams to develop and guide the program manufacturing and tooling plan.
• Identifies and implements advanced manufacturing technologies and improves processes in support of the design.
• Applies process engineering principles to establish requirements for assembly, tooling simulations, and manufacturing configurations.
• Performs trade and cost studies and helps lead integrated product and process teams.
• Demonstrates knowledge in areas such as composite non-metallic, electrical/electronics, machining, sheet metal, systems and structures.
