Job summary
Johnson Controls is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Gilbert, AZ to support large-scale, multi-process manufacturing across sheet metal fabrication, welding, assembly, and HVAC production. The role blends Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering with project management to drive process improvements and equipment implementations.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of Manufacturing/Industrial/Operations Engineering experience.
- Experience in large-scale multi-process manufacturing environments.
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication, assembly, welding, and/or HVAC manufacturing.
- Experience executing projects from concept through implementation.
- Knowledge of capacity planning, labor planning, and process optimization.
- Lean Manufacturing experience.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain manufacturing processes across fabrication, welding, assembly, and HVAC production.
- Drive productivity improvements through labor analysis, line balancing, workstation design, and material flow optimization.
- Analyze plant capacity requirements and support labor planning initiatives.
- Lead capital projects from scope definition through installation and commissioning.
- Create equipment ROI justifications and implementation plans.
- Support new product introduction, BOMs, routings, and engineering changes.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects.
