Mergon in Anderson, SC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support a highly automated blow molding facility, focusing on improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and optimizing automation systems. This hands-on role requires versatility, quick learning, and proactive problem-solving, with occasional overtime to ensure production runs smoothly.

You will collaborate with Production and Maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues, learn ABB robots and Omron PLCs, and drive process

Formación

Strong technical aptitude for robotics, PLCs, and automation.
Willingness to learn quickly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Overtime and weekend availability.
Experience in blow molding or automated facilities is a plus but not required.

Responsabilidades

Learn and understand ABB robots, Omron PLCs, and automation systems.
Troubleshoot issues affecting OEE with Production and Maintenance.
Lead performance and reliability improvements for automation equipment.
Assist commissioning, installation, and fine-tuning of automation systems.
Collaborate with suppliers and automation experts to introduce new technologies.
Improve machine reliability, reduce downtime, and boost production efficiency.
Provide technical training and support to team members.
Stay updated on robotics, PLC programming, and automation trends.
Be available for overtime/weekend shifts as needed.
