Job summary

Saint‑Gobain North America is launching an 18‑month Essentials of Manufacturing (EOM) program for engineers in the Largo, FL area. The role centers on leading CI/OpEx projects, partnering with cross-functional teams, and applying Lean and Six Sigma methods to drive safety, quality, and cost improvements.

Participants are placed at a single plant for 18 months with quarterly travel to other Saint‑Gobain sites in North America. Start dates vary; a final placement may follow successful completion.

Qualifications

• B.S. in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Electrical etc.)
• Internship experience in manufacturing or professional setting is a plus
• Valid passport required for international travel to Canada

Responsibilities

• Lead Continuous Improvement (CI) and Operational Excellence (OpEx) projects that improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance
• Partner with production, quality, maintenance, engineering, and supply chain teams to identify and implement process improvements across all manufacturing areas
• Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and World Class Manufacturing (WCM) tools to eliminate waste and improve efficiency
• Analyze manufacturing data to identify improvement opportunities, measure results, and sustain gains
• Facilitate root cause investigations, Kaizen events, and cross-functional problem-solving activities
• Train, coach, and engage employees in continuous improvement practices
