Saint-Gobain North America is launching an 18-month Essentials of Manufacturing (EOM) program designed to empower engineers to lead manufacturing projects. Participants are located at a single plant for 18 months with quarterly travel to other sites across North America, split 80:20 between local projects and program activities.

The role includes engineering support for process improvements, capital projects, safety initiatives, and new automation, with qualifications including a B.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Electrical etc.)
• Internship experience in manufacturing or professional setting is a plus
• Valid passport required for international travel to Canada
• A desire to travel and the flexibility to be mobile
• A desire to learn and leave your comfort zone
• A desire to be a part of a community and cohort
• Ability to work and communicate well with others in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Providing engineering support for site process improvements.
• Supporting capital expenditure projects/new equipment installations.
• Supporting safety/sustainability initiatives at the plant.
• Implementing new automation processes at the site.
• Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for cost reduction and quality improvement.
