WITTENSTEIN Inc. in Bartlett, IL seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to plan, implement, and optimize processes for mechatronic systems. You will ensure equipment operation, manage tools/fixtures, and support product development from design to manufacture.

The role requires machining expertise, 3+ years in manufacturing, and proficiency with FMEA, DoE, Process Mapping and SPC; periodic travel to Germany is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Proficient in machining processes and equipment.
• FMEA, DoE, Process Mapping and SPC knowledge.
• Ability to read blueprints and financial reports (ROI, budgets).
• German language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

# Manufacturing Engineer* Company: WITTENSTEIN Inc.* Location: US - Bartlett, IL* Country: US* Category: Production### Responsibilities**Pay Range: $90k - $110K/yr** **Responsible for ensuring that all relevant requirements concerning technical processes for manufacturing of mechatronic systems are planned, procured, and placed in service. Ensures the operation of the equipment. Including all tools, fixtures, work holding, and maintenance.*** Independent execution of assigned project tasks in an interdisciplinary team.* Recognize the causes of problems and solve them.* Plan the technical manufacturing process in the areas of parts manufacturing, quality control, assembly, final quality inspection, and packaging.* Analyze technical processes, draw conclusions for improvements, and implement (CIP).* Responsible for all technical process aspects for manufacturing and assembly of mechatronic systems.* Ensure the operation and maintenance of the equipment. Including all tools, fixtures, and work holding.* Support the product development process and ensure design to manufacture.* Create training materials and process documentation.* Establish maintenance plans to ensure proper operations (Uptime, process result, machine lifetime).* Consulting and supporting Quality Assurance in development of quality/inspection.* Perform other duties as assigned.### Qualifications**Qualifications:*** **Machining equipment experience is required, with a strong understanding of machining processes and equipment.*** **Periodic travel to Germany, particularly during the first 6-12 months, with trips typically lasting 2-4 weeks as needed.*** Must have a valid US Passport.* Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering is required, or equivalent.* Minimum 3 years of work experience in this field is preferred.* Proven knowledge about manufacturing process.* Highly developed analytical skills.
