Job summary

WITTENSTEIN North America in Bartlett, IL seeks a Manufacturing Process Engineer to lead technical manufacturing planning for mechatronic assemblies. You will drive process improvements, mentor teams, and ensure design for manufacture.

The role requires a solid engineering background, 3+ years in manufacturing, travel to Germany, and strong analytical skills with tools like FMEA, DoE, SPC. Excellent communication and ERP proficiency are expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering is required, or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing process roles preferred.
Strong analytical skills; familiarity with FMEA, DoE, Process Mapping, SPC.
Travel to Germany 2-4 weeks during first 6-12 months.
Must have a valid US Passport.

Responsibilities

Independent execution of assigned project tasks in an interdisciplinary team.
Plan the technical manufacturing process across parts manufacturing, quality control, assembly, final inspection, and packaging.
Analyze processes and implement improvements (CIP).
Maintain equipment, tools, fixtures, and work holding.
Support product development and ensure design to manufacture.
Create training materials and process documentation.
Establish maintenance plans to ensure uptime and machine lifetime.
Consult and support Quality Assurance in development of quality/inspection.
Perform other duties as assigned.
