Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Desktop Support Technician in Atlanta, GA, to provide Level 2 end-user support in a manufacturing environment. The role focuses on resolving Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and related IT issues with a strong emphasis on customer service and documentation.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of desktop support experience, scalability to manage multiple priorities, and a track record of supporting production IT needs. Onsite position with benefits and a contract term.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on desktop support experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong Windows 11 support experience.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 applications and services.
• Experience providing IT support in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Proven troubleshooting across multiple technologies.
• Experience with ticketing systems and knowledge management tools.
• Strong communication, documentation, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 desktop support for hardware, software, OS, peripherals, and mobile devices.
• Troubleshoot Windows 11, Microsoft 365, network connectivity, and app issues.
• Monitor and manage ticket queue with timely resolutions.
• Escalate complex desktop issues as needed.
• Support manufacturing operations by resolving IT issues impacting production and users.
• Coordinate with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to drive resolution.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
• Maintain accurate ticket documentation in service management systems.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies and best practices.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction through professional communication and follow-through.
• Meet SLAs, ticket volume, and resolution goals.
