Job summary

Silgan Plastic Food Containers is seeking a proactive Customer Service representative in Union, Missouri. You will differentiate our service by streamlining communication between customers, sales, and operations to keep orders moving efficiently.

You will coordinate orders with manufacturing, expedite orders, and ensure timely invoicing while providing customers with accurate order status and product information. A high school diploma is required; a college degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of customer service experience with a manufacturing company.
• Experience with customer order entry systems.
• Knowledge of products and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication skills and proactive work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Ensure ongoing communication between customer and internal operations and sales.
• Expedite customer orders in a timely manner.
• Timely invoice customers.
• Coordinate customer orders with manufacturing base.
• Monitor order status and share pertinent updates with customers.
• Coordinate forecasting with feedback from customers and account managers.
• Provide sales and management with information on customer accounts and products.
• Maintain open communication with customers at all times.
