Job summary

Augmentis is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our finance team as we support a large-scale manufacturing operation in the Inland Empire. This role focuses on cost accounting, inventory valuation, and margin analysis within a GAAP framework.

The position offers relocation assistance and a path to professional growth through training programs, with opportunities to impact cost controls, budgeting, and forecasting across the plant.

Qualifications

• BA degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Minimum 2 years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, planning, and forecasting.
• Ability to manage multiple projects within timelines and costs.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Infor Visual Manufacturing and Infor Global Financials desirable.

Responsibilities

• Partners with Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, Outside Processing, and Inventory Control to improve operational excellence.
• Manages cost accounting transactions to ensure compliance with US GAAP and Company Costing Policies and Procedures.
• Ensures inventory valuation accuracy through correct costing, analysis, and cycle count tracking.
• Performs analysis and support to Operations Management to achieve the cost reduction goals.
• Assists in the preparation of daily and monthly P&Ls.
• Reviews and updates standard costs for each work cell based on the company's requirements.
• Prepares and effectively communicates margin analysis and reports to Operations Management.
• Assists in preparing costing data for major business decisions.
• Leads the annual physical inventory counts and quarterly mini counts.
• Assists the Controller in developing financial forecasts, budgets, and operating plans.
• Assists in the evaluation and preparation of ERP upgrades.
• Participates and provides financial support in Theory of Constraints (ToC) and other LEAN initiatives.
• Provides other duties as needed and assigned.
