LHH is seeking a Cost Accountant for our Houston area client to support production growth and strengthen cost controls in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

You will set up, maintain and reconcile product costs, assist month-end close with journal entries, analyze variances, and develop standard costs in the ERP system, requiring strong Excel skills and cross‑functional collaboration.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of experience in cost accounting.
• Strong Excel skills and ERP system experience.
• Self-starter with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.

Mansioni

• Set up, maintain and reconcile product costs, including periodic cost roll-ups.
• Assist in month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries.
• Analyze inventory and purchase price variances (PPV).
• Prepare actual vs. budget analysis and various financial reports.
• Develop and maintain standard costs in an ERP system.
• Improve processes and controls related to manufacturing costs and inventory valuation.
• Document policies and procedures, including system requirements and internal controls.
• Analyze cost variances and provide operational support.
