Job summary

LHH is seeking a Manufacturing Accountant to join its finance team in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The role focuses on cost accounting, inventory analysis, and month‑end close with strong GAAP adherence.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing. Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel is required to drive accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of cost accounting, inventory accounting, and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
• Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing software environments.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory activity, and production variances.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
• Monitor standard costs and assist with cost updates and product cost analysis.
• Prepare financial reports and support management with operational and financial insights.
• Review inventory transactions and ensure proper accounting treatment.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Partner with manufacturing, operations, and supply chain teams to improve processes and controls.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
• Assist with external audits and other compliance-related activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reporting, and accounting processes.
