LHH is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join our accounting team in Livermore, CA. The role focuses on maintaining standard costs, inventory integrity, and month-end close activities in a manufacturing setting.

You will partner with operations and supply chain to analyze variances, support audits, and drive cost improvements across multiple sites. Strong Excel and ERP/MRP experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, and COGS.
• ERP/MRP systems experience, with Oracle preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication across operations, supply chain, and finance teams.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and analyze standard costs, including labor, material, and overhead rates.
• Monitor inventory transactions and ensure accuracy of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods balances.
• Prepare inventory reconciliations and cost accounting journal entries as part of month-end close. Analyze variances and manufacturing performance metrics.
• Review excess and obsolete inventory and assist with reserve calculations.
• Partner with manufacturing and operations teams to investigate cost fluctuations and improve reporting accuracy.
• Support physical inventory counts and cycle count programs.
• Prepare inventory and cost-related reporting for management.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting related to manufacturing costs and inventory.
• Support annual audits and provide inventory and costing schedules as requested.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and other projects.
