Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline required.
• 1+ years of General Ledger accounting experience.
• Strong accounting foundation beyond AP/AR.
• Manufacturing or cost accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Standard Cost experience desirable and may qualify for higher compensation.
• Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and PivotTables.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working with manufacturing and operations teams.
• Outgoing, confident personality to communicate with plant personnel.

Job description

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Cost Accountant to join its finance team and support a high-volume production environment. This role will work closely with plant operations and manufacturing teams to analyze costs, investigate variances, and provide financial insight into production performance.

This is a hands-on position for someone who is comfortable getting out of the office, walking the production floor, asking questions, and working directly with operations to understand and resolve favorable and unfavorable variances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related accounting discipline required.
• 1+ years of General Ledger accounting experience.
• Strong accounting foundation with experience beyond strictly Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable.
• Manufacturing or cost accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Standard Cost experience highly desired and may qualify candidates for compensation above the standard range.
• Strong Excel skills required, including experience with VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, PivotTables, and other advanced analytical functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working directly with manufacturing and operations teams.
• Outgoing, confident personality with the ability to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and communicate effectively with plant personnel.
• Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing production requirements.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available.
