Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Controller in Midland, TX to oversee all accounting operations, improve processes, and ensure accurate financial reporting. You will lead budgeting, forecasts, and monthly statements while guiding ERP-related initiatives to optimize internal controls.

The role requires a CPA or MBA preferred, a bachelor's in accounting/finance, and at least 5 years in senior finance roles, preferably in manufacturing. On-site with comprehensive benefits and PTO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or MBA is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
• ERP implementation and manufacturing accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations: Billing, AR, AP, GL, cost and inventory accounting, revenue recognition.
• Direct budgeting, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting preparation.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
• Manage local, state, and federal tax filings and reporting.
• Document processes and internal controls; support ERP projects.
