Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Project Manager to own end-to-end manufacturing footprint expansion projects, coordinating across R&D, manufacturing engineering, suppliers, and operations. The role emphasizes ownership, problem solving, and cross-functional execution, with travel up to 50% and relocation assistance available.

The position is hybrid and based at our Wendell, NC headquarters, with on-site presence during critical phases such as equipment installation and production validation.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree required.
• Four or more years of experience leading complex industrial launch or manufacturing start-up projects.
• Solid understanding of project management concepts including schedules, budgets, and reporting.
• Ability to manage project information with discipline (logs, docs, contracts).
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project plan for manufacturing footprint expansion and/or large contract manufacturing setups.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across R&D, product development, manufacturing engineering, automation, purchasing, operations, quality, facilities, and HR.
• Build integrated project timelines from design through ramp-up and launch readiness.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, milestones, risks, and issues; maintain decision logs.
• Provide clear project reporting on timeline, budget, risks, and recovery actions.
• Drive alignment between product requirements, process design, equipment capability, and staffing needs.
• Support equipment sourcing, procurement, delivery tracking, and cost risk mitigation.
• Lead execution meetings, milestone reviews, and launch readiness discussions.
• Partner with operations leaders to define ramp-up plans and handover to operations.
