Job summary
Wegner CPAs in Verona, WI, partners with a client to hire a Senior Business Development Engineer specializing in manufacturing automation. You will be expertly guiding manufacturing prospects, visiting sites to assess operations, and leading automation discovery and scoping engagements.
You'll build long-term relationships, educate clients on automation strategies, travel 30-50% to shows and customer sites, and work with an collaborative engineering team on complex projects from initial contact
Qualifications
- Manufacturing experience is essential.
- 5+ years working in or around manufacturing.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with qualified manufacturing prospects
- Visit customer facilities to understand their operations and challenges
- Lead discovery meetings and automation assessments
- Educate clients on automation strategies and project planning
- Attend 3-8 trade shows annually
- Manage opportunities through HubSpot CRM
- Qualify prospects and guide the right opportunities to our engineering team
- Close paid scoping engagements and automation projects
- Develop a portfolio of long-term customer relationships
