Job summary

DEVELOP LLC, an engineering company in Verona, Wisconsin, seeks an experienced technical sales professional to drive deals in the engineered equipment and automation space. You will combine sales acumen with engineering insight, shaping early scope with clients and collaborating with our engineers to deliver custom machine designs.

You will travel to client facilities and trade shows, translate needs into on-site concepts, and lead end-to-end discovery and qualification.

Qualifications

• Five or more years selling engineered products, custom equipment, or automation.
• Experience on plant floors and in design reviews.
• Technical sales experience in automation, integrator/distributor or component supplier sides.

Responsibilities

• Hit the road: convert marketing qualified meetings into relationships.
• Represent DEVELOP at 3–8 trade shows annually; travel 20–40% of time.
• Listen and educate: discern real problems, uncover the big why and growth drivers.
• Lay it out: draft rough 2D concepts on a whiteboard from client observations.
• Qualify and protect the pipeline using BANT+S; keep HubSpot updated.
• Close: lead paid scoping engagements and transition larger builds to engineers.
