Job summary

Synectics Inc. is seeking an experienced accounting leader to oversee all general accounting functions in a manufacturing setting. You will manage the month-end close, ensure GAAP/SOX/COSO compliance, and produce accurate financial reports for corporate imaging and tax compliance.

You will monitor inventory costs, analyze E&O, and support audits and reporting deadlines while maintaining ERP modules and assisting the Controller on special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 8-10 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX, COSO, inventory accounting, lease accounting, and revenue recognition.
• Experience with month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Experience with ERP/financial systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all general accounting functions, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Inventory, Actuals, Forecasting, and Budget Reporting.
• Manage the month-end close process and prepare financial reports for corporate reporting.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, COSO, lease accounting, and revenue recognition standards.
• Monitor inventory valuation, production costs, and other manufacturing-related expenses.
• Analyze excess and obsolete inventory (E&O) and recommend appropriate actions.
• Prepare reports for tax authorities and support tax-related requirements.
• Perform sustainability audit calculations and assist with audit activities.
• Maintain finance system modules and ensure corporate reporting deadlines are met.
• Provide backup support to the Controller and assist with special projects as needed.
