Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Accountant for our engineering/manufacturing client. The role focuses on leading month-end close, accurate financial reporting, and supporting a multi-site operation with tight internal controls.

You will reconcile accounts, prepare schedules, and maintain the general ledger across multiple entities while partnering with teams to drive cost accounting improvements. The ideal candidate has 5–7+ years in manufacturing accounting, strong GAAP knowledge, ERP proficiency,

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing, industrial, or product-based environments.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting processes.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and audit support.
• Exposure to inventory or cost accounting strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills; CPA or CPA-track preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes with timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Maintain the general ledger across multiple entities or locations.
• Support cost accounting and inventory-related activities within a product-based environment.
• Assist with financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP and internal controls.
• Collaborate with internal teams to analyze variances and improve processes.
• Assist with audits and prepare supporting documentation.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows.
