Job summary

TECOMET in Ambler, PA is seeking a Manual Machinist to perform diversified machining on stainless steel and other alloys, including light finishing and setup work. You will read blueprints, operate mills, lathes, drill presses, and related tools, and ensure parts meet precise specifications.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in a machine shop, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with basic inspection tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years machine shop experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and work orders.
• Welding experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge, set up and operation of manual machinery including mills, lathes, drill press, surface grinder, and hand tools.
• Reworks parts per print with instructions.
• Maintain production schedule and on-time delivery.
• Inspect components and assemblies to ensure fit and function.
• Complete documentation and time entry for shop floor processes.
• Maintain inventory and assist in tooling development with engineering.
