Job summary

TECOMET is seeking a Manual Machinist to perform diverse machining tasks on stainless steel and alloys. You will set up and operate manual mills, lathes, drill presses, and grinders, inspect parts, and document work to meet drawings and tolerances.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least 3 years in a machine shop, with strong blueprint reading and measurement skills. Welding is a plus; candidate must work safely and maintain an organized workspace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years machine shop experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, use calipers/micrometers/optical comparator, and interpret work orders.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual machines (milling machines, lathes, drill press, grinders) per engineering drawings.
• Rework parts per print with instructions.
• Maintain on-time production and proper documentation of routing and inspection reports.
• Inspect components and assemblies for form, fit, function and dimensional criteria.
• Maintain shop area and assist in fixture/tooling development with engineering.
