Job summary

Adecco is assisting a local client in Mount Prospect, IL in their search for a Manual Machinist. This role offers a steady shift, weekly pay, and access to Adecco perks as you develop machining skills further.

You will set up and operate manual machining equipment, read blueprints, ensure quality, and troubleshoot issues to keep production on track. Requires 2+ years machining and an associate degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical school certification, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of machining experience.
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual machining equipment to cut, shape, and form metal, plastic, composite, and rubber materials according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical specifications to determine machine setup, machining sequence, and finished product dimensions.
• Inspect and measure finished workpieces using precision measuring tools, ensure quality standards are met, and report any discrepancies to Quality Control.
• Troubleshoot and adjust machine operations by modifying feeds, speeds, tooling, and machine settings while identifying and resolving equipment malfunctions.

This role is being recruited for by one of our Centralized Delivery Team and not your local Branch.

Pay Details:

$27.00 to $30.00 per hour
