We're looking for an experienced Manual Machinist who enjoys working with traditional machining equipment and has the skills to produce high-quality components with accuracy and attention to detail.
As a Manual Machinist, you'll set up and operate conventional machining equipment to manufacture and repair precision metal parts while maintaining strict quality standards.
Set up and operate manual lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, and other shop equipment
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions
Measure, inspect, and verify completed parts using precision measuring tools including:
Select the correct cutting tools, feeds, and speeds for various materials
Maintain tight tolerances and ensure parts meet exact specifications
Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
Deburr, polish, and finish parts as needed
Follow all workplace safety procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area
Previous experience operating manual machining equipment is required
Strong understanding of machining principles and shop mathematics
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Experience with precision measurement tools and maintaining close tolerances
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing quality work
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Competitive Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
