Job summary

FCCI Group is seeking an experienced Underwriting Manager to lead a team responsible for profitable property, casualty, and workers compensation underwriting. The role focuses on maintaining strong relationships with the independent agency system while delivering sound underwriting aligned with policy.

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement in Glen Allen, VA or potential remote work within the territory, with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package including PTO and 401(k)

Qualifications

• Bachelors or better in Risk Management or related field.
• Minimum six years commercial, multi-line, P&C marketing and underwriting experience and two years supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Relevant experience in managing and developing staff.
• Excellent knowledge of the independent agency system.
• Hands-on underwriting technical experience.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and retain profitable property, casualty, and workers compensation accounts through sound underwriting principles aligned with company policy.
• Oversee a team of underwriters and associate underwriters who promote P&C products through the independent agency system.

Currently seeking an experienced Underwriting Manager who will be responsible for acquiring and retaining profitable property, casualty, and workers compensation accounts through sound underwriting principles reflective of company policy, overseeing a team of underwriters and associate underwriters who promote sales of various P&C products through the independent agency system.This position will be hybrid in our Glen Allen, VA office or opportunity for remote within our territory.

The salary range for this position is $128,396-$197,729 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
