Job summary

CFS in Orlando, FL is seeking a Manager of Technical Accounting to lead accounting aspects of acquisitions and integration within a hybrid work model. You will own major transaction accounting workstreams, partner with senior leadership, and guide the finance function through the full deal lifecycle.

The role requires an active CPA, strong GAAP knowledge, and experience in deal structures, financial reporting, and post-close integration within a private equity-backed environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and active CPA license.
• Strong M&A accounting, transaction advisory, or financial due diligence experience.
• Expertise in ASC 805, purchase accounting, and complex U.S. GAAP research.
• Background in public accounting, transaction advisory, or corporate technical accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting due diligence and identify financial reporting risks associated with potential acquisitions.
• Advise leadership on deal structures and the accounting implications of complex transactions.
• Own ASC 805 purchase accounting, including purchase price allocations, goodwill, and intangible assets.
• Coordinate with valuation specialists, external auditors, legal counsel, and transaction advisors.
• Support post-acquisition integration, opening balance sheets, and alignment of accounting policies.
• Research complex U.S. GAAP matters and prepare transaction-related technical accounting memoranda.
