Job summary

IES is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to lead complex accounting matters across a growing organization. The role focuses on ASC 805 purchase accounting for acquisitions, onboarding new entities, and staying ahead of evolving GAAP and SEC guidance.

The ideal candidate will combine strong U.S. GAAP knowledge with the ability to collaborate with internal teams, external auditors, and counsel in a fast-paced environment. A CPA and 4+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Active CPA designation required.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting with Big 4 or national firm.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to research and document positions.

Responsibilities

• Lead ASC 805 purchase accounting for acquisitions and review opening balance sheets.
• Oversee onboarding of acquired companies and develop repeatable templates and playbooks.
• Prepare technical accounting memorandums and support external audits.
