Job summary

Astrana Health is seeking a Director of Technical Accounting to serve as the company’s technical authority on US GAAP and SEC reporting. You will own acquisition accounting, develop checklists, and coordinate with Internal Audit and auditors to ensure reporting accuracy and compliance.

You will lead SOX 404 control design, work with cross‑functional teams, and guide management on complex, high‑stakes judgments across three reportable segments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA active license preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting for SEC registrants.
• Experience with ASC 805 business combinations including purchase price allocations and opening balance sheets.
• Proven ownership of SOX 404 control design in public companies.
• Ability to write technical accounting memoranda accepted by external auditors.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the company's authority on US GAAP and SEC reporting.
• Own acquisition accounting end to end including PPA and opening balance sheets.
• Build and maintain technical accounting checklists and the management review framework.
• Lead SOX 404 controls design and remediation with Internal Audit.
• Coordinate with external auditors and the Audit Committee on positions and evidence.
• Support external reporting including Form 10-K/10-Q and 8-K.
