Job summary

Grand River Aseptic Manufacturing, Inc. seeks a Talent & Organizational Development Manager to lead talent strategy across the employee lifecycle, from planning and acquisition to retention and succession.

You will translate business needs into scalable programs and use data to improve hiring, development, and workforce planning. Responsibilities include building recruiting processes, optimizing technology and analytics, and partnering with leaders across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, workforce planning, or staffing.
  • Experience partnering with business leaders.
  • Knowledge of recruiting technologies and applicant tracking systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute GRAM’s talent acquisition and workforce strategy across the employee lifecycle.
  • Build standardized recruiting processes, interview practices, and hiring-manager accountability.
  • Optimize recruiting technology, automation, AI, reporting, and analytics.
  • Manage external staffing partners, scorecards, vendor relationships, and costs.
  • Develop recruiters and hiring managers through training, playbooks, coaching, and best practices.
  • Lead retention and engagement initiatives by analyzing turnover and risks.
  • Develop career paths, internal mobility, leadership development, and succession programs.
  • Support performance management with goal setting, feedback, and development.

Overview of this Position:

The Talent & Organizational Development Manager will lead the development, optimization, and execution of GRAM’s talent strategy across the employee lifecycle, from workforce planning and talent acquisition through retention, career development, performance management, and succession planning. The position will build the systems, processes, programs, and analytics required to attract, hire, develop, and retain top talent while ensuring GRAM has the workforce capabilities needed to support continued growth. It will serve as a strategic and operational leader, translating business needs into scalable talent programs and using data to continuously improve hiring, workforce planning, employee development, and retention.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, workforce planning, or staffing.
  • Experience partnering with business leaders.
  • Knowledge of recruiting technologies and applicant tracking systems.
  • Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience partnering with business leaders and hiring managers.
  • Experience managing talent acquisition strategies within an OFCCP-regulated environment or federal contracting framework.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
  • Develop and execute GRAM’s talent acquisition and workforce strategy, including workforce planning, talent needs, and the appropriate mix of employees, contractors, and staffing partners.
  • Build and standardize recruiting processes, workflows, job documentation, interview practices, and hiring‑manager accountability to improve speed, quality, and candidate experience.
  • Optimize recruiting technology, automation, AI, reporting, and analytics to improve efficiency, data visibility, and decision‑making.
  • Manage external staffing partners, including performance expectations, scorecards, vendor relationships, and cost optimization.
  • Develop recruiters and hiring managers through training, playbooks, interview standards, coaching, and best practices.
  • Lead retention and employee engagement initiatives by analyzing turnover trends, identifying talent risks, and implementing targeted solutions.
  • Develop career paths, internal mobility, leadership development, and succession planning programs to strengthen the talent pipeline and support critical roles.
  • Support performance management, including goal setting, feedback, development, and accountability processes.
  • Establish talent KPIs and dashboards covering recruiting, retention, workforce planning, performance, and talent development; translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Drive continuous improvement by developing SOPs, streamlining and automating processes, benchmarking practices, and measuring the ROI of talent initiatives.
  • Partner cross-functionally with HR, executive and functional leaders, hiring managers, Finance, HRIS/People Analytics, recruiters, and external vendors.
