Job summary

Grand River Aseptic Manufacturing (GRAM) seeks a Sr. Project Manager to lead technology transfer projects for new products and ongoing Commercial Supply/LCM efforts.

You will be the primary liaison between customers and internal teams, defining scope, milestones, risks, and deliverables while ensuring accurate project data in SmartSheet. This is a fully onsite role with flexibility to support customer visits in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Biochemistry, or Life Sciences or related field.
• 8 years of related work experience in Pharma/Biotech/Life Sciences or similarly regulated industry.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, PowerPoint and other PM software (SmartSheet).
• Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, laboratory, or CMC regulatory environment.
• Proficient in project management software.
• Training or education in project management or equivalent knowledge/experience.
• Regulatory knowledge of GMPs, change control, risk management and quality by design.
• Direct PM experience with tech transfer into sterile manufacturing.
• Customer-facing experience in pharmaceutical environment.
• PMP Certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end PM for technology transfer, commercial supply and lifecycle management (LCM).
• Serve as primary liaison between customers and cross-functional teams.
• Define scope, milestones, deliverables, timelines, risks, and success criteria.
• Manage change controls, tech transfer plans, and project documentation.
• Oversee execution of commercial supply agreements and ensure contractual commitments.
• Coordinate resources and deliverables across multiple departments.
• Facilitate project meetings, agendas, action items, and minutes.
• Drive risk identification, mitigation planning, issue resolution, and escalation.
• Provide regular updates to customers and senior leadership.
• Identify and elevate issues in timely fashion.
• Build client relationships and manage expectations to improve satisfaction.
• Support customer visits and adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and suggest changes.

Overview of this Position:

The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for leading technology transfer projects for new products being introduced into GRAM manufacturing facilities and/or manage ongoing Commercial Supply and Life Cycle Management (LCM) projects. Serves as the primary liaison between customers and cross-functional internal teams, oversees all phases of project execution from initiation through closure. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining project schedules, defining scope, tracking milestones, managing risks, assigning responsibilities and action items, monitoring critical path activities, and ensuring timely resolution or escalation of issues. Responsible for authoring project work orders/change orders, and other project documentation while maintaining accurate and up to date project data in SmartSheet. Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-management skills required.

This is a fully onsite position requiring flexibility to support customer visits and a dynamic project environment.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Biochemistry, or other Life Sciences or related field
• 8 years related work experience in Pharma/Biotech/Life Sciences or similarly regulated industry.
• Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook PowerPoint, and other relevant Project Management software (i.e. SmartSheet).
• Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing, laboratory, or CMC regulatory environment.
• Proficient in project management software required
• Training or education in project management or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Regulatory knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing with GMPs, change control, risk management and quality by design.
• Direct work experience in project management capacity, specifically with tech transfer of products into a sterile manufacturing facility.
• Customer facing experience in pharmaceutical environment.

Preferred Requirements:

• PMP Certification desired.
