Job summary

Grand River Aseptic Manufacturing is seeking a Business Operations Associate to help translate client demand forecasts into actionable production and operational plans. You will support revenue realization, timely batch release, and delivery of customer commitments in a fully onsite role.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the collection, organization, and maintenance of operational, production, and customer demand data.
  • Support the preparation of reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for leadership review.
  • Update and maintain planning tools, Smartsheets, and business systems to ensure data accuracy.
  • Monitor and track production schedules, batch release activities, and customer commitments.
  • Coordinate meetings, document action items, and follow up on assigned tasks to support production readiness and batch release activities.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to gather information and ensure timely communication of operational updates.
  • Support the tracking of key business metrics and identify data discrepancies for escalation.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for departmental and leadership meetings.
  • Help identify scheduling conflicts, delays, or operational issues and communicate them to the appropriate team members.
  • Respond to routine requests for operational data, reports, and status updates.
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to support efficient execution of business objectives.
  • When required, attend and facilitate regular status meetings with cross functional internal stakeholders followed up with meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Assist in the creation and participation of delivering well-organized presentations.
  • Resolve and/or escalation issues in a timely fashion.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.

Overview of this Position:

The Business Operations Associate supports the execution of business operations strategies by helping translate client demand forecasts into actionable production and operational plans. Work closely with the Director of Business Operations, assist in coordinating activities that support revenue realization, timely batch release, and the successful delivery of customer commitments. The Business Operations Associate is a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Support production and release planning processes, maintain forecasting and reporting tools, track critical action items, and identify potential risks or constraints that could impact revenue, customer service, or operational efficiency. This is a fully onsite position.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:
  • Training or education in project management or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership working with teams.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Completion of a bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of 1-year related work experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with project management techniques, timelines, tools, and software preferred.
