Position Summary: The Sales Account Manager, as a contributing team member, will report directly to a Director of Sales (DOS). The role involves regular interactions with the DOS and other regional sales managers, focusing on cultivating relationships with assigned Chain, C-Store, and other Foodservice customers. Responsibilities include building relationships, selling new items, negotiating contracts, and prioritizing efforts against plan. The role requires cross-functional collaboration with various business units and trade teams to develop new business, protect the core business, create competitive advantages, and achieve volume and mix targets within our value-added product tiers.

  1. Develop and nurture professional relationships with assigned customers to meet business objectives.
  2. Gather and maintain key insights regarding account size, product opportunities, competition, timing, and potential hurdles.
  3. Track progress using provided tools and report status.
  4. Manage strategic initiatives and coordinate with Business Development, Distribution, revenue teams, and brokers to meet sales plans.
  5. Provide sales support at customer events, including product sampling and presenting features and benefits.
  6. Achieve volume goals and execute pricing strategies, managing spend and product mix.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience: Minimum 5 years outside sales experience in Food Service, Food Service Manufacturing, or Distributor Sales.
  2. Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  3. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Special Skills: Strategic thinking, negotiation, motivational leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
  5. Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  6. Travel: 30-50%.
  7. Relocation Assistance Eligible: Yes.
  8. Work Shift: 1st Shift (United States of America).
  9. Pay Range/Rate: $83,000 - $173,000.
  10. Incentives: Annual Incentive Plan; Long-Term Incentive Plan: No.
